| Dr. Alok K. Sharma has done his super-specialization in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (MCh) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in 2007. He is MBBS from SP Medical College, Bikaner and completed his MS in General Surgery from JLN Medical College, Ajmer. Since 2001, soon after completing his MS, he has been working in CTVS specialty, which brings his overall work experience in CTVS to more than 13 years now. He has very keen interest and expertise in management of Heart Valve Diseases and Heart Valve Repair procedures. He had worked with Prof. A. Sampath Kumar, f+F44ormer HOD and Chief of CN center, AIIMS, nearly for 6 years. He has attended many heart valve repair workshops and has a vast experience of more than 2500 heart valve Repair and Replacements. He has done more than 75 Mitral Valve Repairs and more than 150 valve replacement surgeries by himself. He has done numerous successful valve repair for Rheumatic, Ischemic, Degenerative and Myxomatous valve diseases. He does Mitral Valve Replacement with preserving Chordal Apparatus. While doing Aortic Valve procedures he has special focus on ensuring Patient-Prosthesis match for the right results. Apart from valve surgeries, he also does all other adult Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular surgeries. |
